Tarun Chugh visits Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium to check preparations ahead of PM Modi's rally
Srinagar, Sept 18: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) national general secretary, Tarun Chugh on Wednesday said he inspected the venue designated for Prime Minister Modi's public rally to be held tomorrow.
Modi is visiting Srinagar in a bid to attract voters to choose BJP in the ongoing assembly elections in J&K. He is among the star campaigners for the ruling party.
Security grid has been intensified across the region amid elections and high-profile visits to J&K and in the backdrop of spate of attacks in the otherwise peaceful province of Jammu.
"Inspected the public meeting venue for the preparations of the huge public meeting of the country's successful Prime Minister Honorable Shri @NarendraModi ji to be held in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow on 19th September 2024," Chugh wrote on his official X handle.
