Targain-Budhal road blocked

Rajouri, Oct 24: Residents  of Targain village of Rajouris’ Kotranka sub division have demanded  restoration of Targain- Budhal road which continues blocked for last few days due to landslide.

Mohammad Azam and other locals from the areas said that this road is under construction from several years. Some kilometres stretch of the road is already black topped but it is lying blocked from last three days as a landslide had hit the area.

The locals further said that the issue has time and again been taken up with the Public Works Department but the road restoration work is yet to be taken up.

They called for a permanent solution to the slide affected region stating that the road usually gets closed at the site due to landslides.

The officials of district administration meanwhile said that the matter is already in their notice and necessary directions have been issued to the concerned department for restoration of road.
