Tanvir Sadiq reviews Eid, Muharram preparations

Srinagar, Jun 2: MLA Zadibal and Chief Spokesperson of National Conference, Tanvir Sadiq, today conducted an extensive tour of various areas of his constituency to review ongoing developmental works and assess preparations ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha and Muharram.

According to a press release, during the visit, Sadiq interacted with local residents and took on-the-spot assessments of civic issues, with a particular focus on sanitation, drainage, water supply, and road conditions. Talking about preparation he said that Astan Shareef Hazratbal, Makhdoom Sahab, Mir Shams-u- Din Iraqi, Hassanaabd and Imam Bara Zadibal and emphasised the need for coordinated efforts by concerned departments to ensure smooth observance of both religious occasions.

Highlighting key initiatives, Sadiq said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has given urgent direction that macadamisation work in downtown Srinagar should start soon, and also all Muharram procession routes, should commence shortly and be completed before the beginning of Muharram.

He was accompanied by senior officers from the UEED, R&B, City Roads, City Drainage, PHE, CORE and other line departments.
