Tanvir Sadiq participates in Asia-Pacific Cities Summit in Sri Lanka
Srinagar, Nov 8: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq Saturday participated in the Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors' Forum held in Sri Lanka.
The summit brought together policymakers, urban experts, and civic leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss sustainable urban futures, inclusivity, and resilience in cities.
During his session on “Safeguarding Public Spaces,” Sadiq emphasized the necessity for cities in the region to not only be "smart" but also just, inclusive, and compassionate in their development efforts. Extending an invitation to the summit's delegates and international participants, Tanvir Sadiq urged them to visit Jammu and Kashmir. Sadiq further highlighted the vision under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's leadership to transform Srinagar into a world-class city. He pointed to the visible progress in several sectors, including infrastructure development.
