Tanvir Sadiq lays foundation stones in Zadibal constituency

Srinagar, Oct 20: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference chief spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq Monday laid foundation stones for several key recreational projects across the Zadibal constituency.

Tanvir Sadiq initiated the development of a new playfield at Mir Behri Dal, Rainawari, with an estimated cost of Rs 59.75 lakh. This project is aimed at providing the youth with better access to quality sporting facilities, thereby encouraging healthy lifestyles and fostering talent at the local level.

In addition, foundation stones were also laid for the upgradation of playfields at Sikh Bagh and Shaheed-e-Millat, Lal Bazar, with a combined allocation of Rs 80.44 lakh. These projects are expected to significantly boost recreational engagement in the area, offering enhanced amenities and opportunities for community participation, said a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, Tanvir said, “Investing in our youth is investing in our future. These facilities will not only promote physical well-being but also serve as a space for nurturing camaraderie, discipline, and talent among our youngsters.” The initiatives were warmly welcomed by local residents, who expressed appreciation for Sadiq’s proactive public outreach and commitment to addressing community needs.
