The Rs 42.59 lakh project will connect Moti Mohalla, Kani Kachi, Nishat, Naidyar, Chowdhary Bagh, Gurpora, and several other habitations across interior Dal Lake—bringing a transformative change to some of the most isolated communities in the region.

Mir Behri, one of Srinagar’s most unique and vibrant lake settlements, has long faced challenges due to inadequate connectivity. The new bridge is expected to ease daily movement, improve access to essential services, and enhance socio-economic opportunities for residents.

This bridge will not only connect habitations but also connect our people to better opportunities and an improved quality of life.” He congratulated the residents of Mir Behri and expressed gratitude to all departments, engineers, and community members who supported the initiative. “This project reflects our collective resolve to bring ease, dignity, and development to every corner of Zadibal,” he added.
