Tanvir Sadiq inaugurates facility to enhance water supply in Badamwari

Srinagar, Dec 30: National Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq inaugurated the first and only 2 MGD (Million Gallons per Day) Advanced Activated Carbon Filter at Pokhribal Badamwari, Zadibal, marking a major milestone in strengthening drinking water infrastructure for downtown Srinagar.

As per a press release, Sadiq said the commissioning of this state-of-the-art filtration system reflects a firm commitment to ensuring clean, safe, tested, and transparent drinking water, which he termed a basic right of every citizen. He stated that the new facility will effectively address long-pending issues related to odour and colour in water supply while meeting the increasing local demand, said a party statement.

Sadiq noted that large parts of downtown Srinagar have often faced challenges in water quality, particularly during peak seasons, and the installation of the Advanced Activated Carbon Filter would bring much-needed relief to thousands of households.
