'Talks only way to maintain peace'
Rajouri, Dec 29 : National Conference President (NC) and Member Parliament, Dr Farooq Abdullah during his Poonch visit on Friday said that talks are only way to maintain peace.
Talking to reporters, he said that challenges against country are of such a nature at this time that “we are surrounded by nuclear powers and are also equipped with nuclear power on our own.”
“We have always advocated for talks as these are the only way to maintain peace otherwise bomb is the name of destruction,” Dr Farooq said.
He expressed hope that new government in Pakistan after ensuing general polls and new government in India after general elections will boost talk process.
He said the government should take all measures to ensure that incidents like terror attack on army vehicles and civilian deaths should not happen again. NC President said civil population has always stood against terrorism and civilian population is backbone of the country.
