Taj Mohiuddin will contest as independent candidate in upcoming J-K polls: Sources

Srinagar, Sep 08: Senior political leader and former legislator from north Kashmir's Uri, Taj Mohiuddin has announced that he will contest the upcoming elections as an independent candidate, sources said.

They also said that the Mehbooba Mufti-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended support to the former minister.

On Aug 17, Mohiuddin officially confirmed his resignation from the Gh Nabi Azad-led DPAP and said that he will be rejoining his former party, Congress.
