Tahir Syeed resigns from PDP

Srinagar, Sep 02: PDP spokesman Tahir Syeed today resigned from the party.

Tahir was in PDP for around a decade. In his resignation letter addressed to party chief, Mehbooba Mufti, Syeed stated that it was a great and learning experience to serve the party and the people.

"It is with a heavy heart that I write this unpleasant letter of resignation from the post of Spokesperson and basic membership of the party," the letter reads. Reports said he decided to resign after the party announced to field senior party worker Mohammad Afzal Wani as its candidate for the Trehgam constituency in Kupwara district.Syeed wanted to get the mandate for there.
