TAC to implement OFC project for CCTV sites of J&K
Jammu, Aug 28: A four-member Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) has been constituted for the project “Implementation of Optical Fibre Connectivity (OFC) for CCTV sites” of Union Territory of J&K.
Sanction to the constitution of this panel has been accorded in terms of S0 227 dated July 9, 2021, of the Finance Department.
As per its terms of reference, TAC has been entrusted with the task of technical vetting of the DPR besides it will give recommendations regarding the provisions proposed in the Detailed Project Report (DPR). It has been asked to submit its report to the Information Technology Department within 15 days.
With State Informatics Officer NIC J&K, Mohammad Saleem Khan as its chairman, TAC will have Associate Professor, Islamic University of Science & Technology Kashmir, Dr Javaid Iqbal Bhat and Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu, Gaurav Varshney as its members. Technical Officer, Information Technology Department, Munish Pandhoh will be its member-secretary. The member-secretary will coordinate with all the members of the committee for timely convening of meetings and to ensure timely appraisal and vetting of documents.
TAC will give its recommendation or suggestions on the viability of the proposed solutions in the DPR and will ensure strict compliance with all the rules, procedures and guidelines issued by the government from time to time while vetting the DPR.
