Swachhata Pakhwada campaign begins in Anantnag

Anantnag, Aug 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid Thursday launched a two-week Swachhata Pakhwada campaign to enhance cleanliness and environmental sustainability in the district.

The campaign would feature a series of activities and workshops focused on waste management and promoting eco-friendly practices.

In his opening remarks, the DC stressed the essential role of community involvement in maintaining a clean environment and called on residents to minimise their use of polythene products.

He later administered the Swacchta oath to the participants and flagged off IEC vans to disseminate the message of Swacchta at the last mile.

The campaign in Anantnag is being organised by the district administration in collaboration with the RDD and the municipal councils.
