FIR filed after firecrackers found in suspicious box in Poonch

Jammu, Nov 29: Police have filed an FIR against unidentified individuals after firecrackers were discovered inside a suspicious box in the Chajja area of Poonch district on Friday.

In an official statement, the police said that they, along with security forces in Mendhar, were alerted earlier today when a suspicious box was spotted in the Chajja area.

Upon inspection, the Poonch police discovered that the box contained firecrackers.

An FIR (No. 223/2024) has been registered at PS Mendhar under relevant sections of the law pertaining to acts of mischief, the police said.
