Suspected individual held with arms, war-like stores in Kupwara: Army
Srinagar, May 16: Army on Thursday said it has arrested one suspected individual along with arms, ammunition and other war-like stores in Panzgam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Defence spokesperson said that a joint operation was launched by Army, BSF and Jammu & Kashmir Police on the intervening night of 15 & 16 May in Lunahare, Panzgam Kupwara which led to the arrest of one individual along with arms and other war-like stores.
Srinagar based Chinar Corps in a post on X (formerly Twitter) said, “Based on specific inputs from intelligence agencies, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy, @BSF_Kashmir & @JmuKmrPolice on the intervening night of 15-16 May in general area Lunahare, Panzgam, Kupwara”.
They Army said, “One suspected individual has been apprehended along with recovery of 02xPistols, 10×Hand Grenades & other war-like stores”.
