Suspected IED defused in Langate in north Kashmir’s Kupwara
Srinagar, Dec 11: Security forces on Wednesday detected and destroyed a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) through a controlled explosion in the Langate area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Sources told Greater Kashmir that the suspected by detected by the police and army on Baramulla-Handwara area early morning today.
They said that a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in to inspect the device.
The suspected IED, they added, was destroyed through a controlled explosion, without causing any damage.

A police official said that the traffic movement was temporarily halted along the road. “After the suspected device was destroyed, the traffic movement was restored,” he said.
On Tuesday morning, another IED was defused by the police and security forces in the Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
