Supreme Industries, Orbia Wavin partner on Water Management

Mumbai, Mar 12: The Supreme Industries Ltd., India's largest plastic pipe manufacturer, and Orbia's Building & Infrastructure business Wavin have announced plans for a strategic partnership to revolutionize water management across India. Under the agreement, Supreme will acquire Wavin's pipes and fittings business in India and gain exclusive access to Wavin's advanced water management technologies for India and SAARC countries.

A statement said that the partnership includes transferring Wavin's Indian manufacturing facilities to Supreme and providing exclusive licensing access to Wavin's technology portfolio. This includes cutting-edge solutions for water supply, sanitation, city-scale water management, agriculture, and rainwater collection systems.

"This partnership accelerates our growth trajectory and enables us to deliver exceptional value to our customers," said Mr. M.P. Taparia, Managing Director of Supreme. "Combining Wavin's technologies with our manufacturing and distribution strengths, we are poised to secure India's water management needs as India's economy is projected to more than double over the next decade."

Orbia CEO Sameer Bharadwaj added, "Our partnership with Supreme is a giant leap forward for sustainable water management in India. Supreme was a Wavin licensee for 25 years until 2017, and we are deeply honored to renew our partnership through innovation to meet India's future needs."

The agreement is subject to confirmatory due diligence and regulatory approvals, with the process expected to conclude in the coming months.
