Sunil Sharma urges LG Sinha to defer Munsiff, lecturer exams in J&K
Srinagar, Sep 16: Leader of the Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Sunil Sharma, on Tuesday wrote to the J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urging postponement of the upcoming Munsiff and 10 2 lecturer examinations to be conducted by the J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC), citing landslides, road blockages and poor internet access that he said are preventing many students from preparing or reaching exam centres.
In his communication, Sharma highlighted the serious difficulties being faced by aspirants and students across the Union Territory.
He also drew attention to the poor internet services in many regions, which were preventing aspirants from downloading admit cards and accessing study material. The digital divide and recent natural disruptions, he stressed, have placed students from remote and flood-affected areas at a clear disadvantage.
Expressing concern over the hardships faced by the student community, Sharma urged LG to intervene and direct the JKPSC to postpone the examinations until the situation improves so that all aspirants get a fair and equal opportunity to appear.
