Successive govts exploited people’s sentiments : Ravinder Raina

Noorabad (Kulgam), Mar 10: J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina on Sunday criticised the successive governments of Jammu and Kashmir for exploiting the sentiments of the people.

"The NC , PDP and Congress played with the emotions of the people and never give them what they deserved", said Raina while addressing a public rally in Noorabad area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district.

He said that these parties always exploited the marginalised Gujjar and Bakerwal communities. "They have always misled the people with their false promises", said the BJP president. He said that the elected representatives from these parties never visited their constituencies to know the issues confronting the common people.

"After the elections, their MPs only enjoyed the privileges. Now, it is time to show them an exit door," Raina said. Underscoring the developmental works and schemes of the Modi led BJP government, he said that the government rolled out the Ayushman Bharat scheme which ensured the health of the poor and downtrodden .

" During the COVID- induced lockdown, the people were provided with free ration. The government will continue such schemes in the next five years", Raina said.

He said that under housing schemes thousands of poor got their houses. " Such schemes were available during the earlier governments but their beneficiaries were a choses few", BJP leader said.
