Successful endoscopic spine surgery performed on young Kashmiri patient
Srinagar, June 25: A complex surgery to overcome a spine problem was performed on a Kashmiri patient.
Waseem Nabi Lone, 36 years old from Baramulla, was suffering from backache for the last 6 months, after lifting weight.
Gradually backache increased but from the last twenty days he developed very severe right leg pain, pain was so intense and excruciating making him almost stand still. Initially the patient visited local doctors in Srinagar, where he was advised with open spine surgery. He was scared of open surgery at such a young age. He searched for the best treatment for such ailment and found that Endoscopic Spine Surgery is the best option. He consulted Dr Trivedi (Senior Endoscopic Spine Surgeon) in Spine Master’s Unit in Jalandhar Punjab, where he was operated for his Spine problem.
Dr Trivedi said that he was suffering with L4-L5 Disc Prolapse at such a young age and endoscopic surgery is the best option as it is done awake under local anesthesia with just a small 7mm cut within 10-15 minutes only.
After the surgery Nabi was back to life without pain and was walking straight. Nabi said that he was awake during surgery and his pain was gone on the operation table only. Dr. Trivedi said that MISS Technique is a "blessing for human life and now the first option in the majority of spine problems due to less invasive, quick recovery, less morbid condition."
