Strong winds wreak havoc in Kashmir parts; properties, power lines damaged

Srinagar, Mar 28: Strong winds across various parts of Kashmir valley have wreaked havoc and caused substantial damage to multiple properties and infrastructure on Thursday.

Reports said that several cars parked on roadside in city areas were badly damaged due to felling of chinar and other tree branches. Additionally several electric cables were also damaged in several parts of city, leading complete disruption of power supply in these areas.

However no injuries have been reported so far.

Authorities have arrived at many spots to assess the extent of the damage and coordinate restoration efforts to ensure public safety.

The strong winds were continued when this report was filed.
