Stray dogs on prowl at Residency Road

Srinagar, May 16: Expressing concern over the presence of stray dogs at Residency Road, commuters have urged SMC authorities to check the menance.

A delegation of aggrieved commuters said the presence of a large number of stray dogs at Residency Road and is it adjoining areas including Lambert Lane and Press Enclave pose a risk to pedestrians.

“These dogs chase pedestrians including tourists posing risk to their lives. We make a fervent appeal to the SMC Commissioner to look into the issue and direct the concerned officials to take measures for curbing this menace at the earliest,” they added.
