Stray dogs on prowl at Abi Guzar 

Srinagar, Nov 5: Residents of Abi Guzar locality in the city's commercial hub Lal Chowk here have expressed concern over the presence of a large number of stray dogs in the area.

A delegation from the locality said that stray dogs chase commuters posing a risk to their lives. “Due to the presence of stray dogs, we are unable to venture out of our homes especially in evenings and mornings. It becomes difficult for students, especially kids, to board school buses in the mornings due to the presence of stray dogs,” they said.

They said dozens of stray dogs are present in multi-level parking at Abi Guzar. “These dogs chase students and persons who park their vehicles in the parking slot. We make a fervent appeal to the SMC Commissioner to look into the matter and take measures to tackle the stray dog menace in the locality,” they added.
