Stolen govt property recovered in Gool
Ramban, Aug 09: After hectic efforts Ramban Police recovered stolen government property valuing Rs three lakhs from Gool area of Ramban district on Friday.
According Police on August 4 a government employee working as a village level worker, (VLW), in Rural Development Department posted at Panchayat ghar, Gagarsulla, Gool lodged a written complaint Police Station Gool .
He stated that some unknown thieves has stolen four solar panel plates, four batteries, one inverter and a stabilizer valuing worth rupees three Lakh from Panchayat Ghar Gagarsulla Gool.
Accordingly, on the basis of the complainant a case FIR No.62 of 2024, under sections 305 (e), and 331(4), BNS was registered at Police Station Gool and investigation was started. Later a special team was constituted by SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar under the close supervision of SDPO Gool to work out the case. Following which a Police team led by SHO Police Station Gool rounded up several suspects.
After sustained interrogation one suspect identified as Ashiq son of Bahar Din Shah resident of Gagarsulla Gool confessed to have committed the theft with the connivance of Nadeem Ahmed Shah son of Jaffer Shah resident of Gagarsulla Gool.
They said on the disclosure of Ashiq stolen government property worth Rs three lakhs was recovered.
They said further investigation in the case is going on.
Earlier Ramban Police arrested three persons involved in the theft of cash Rupees four Lakh fifty thousand recovered from a shop in Chanderkote on Thursday.
