Stock of grains, dry ration seized in Badhaal

Rajouri, Feb 13In a major exercise, authorities have ordered seizure of all stock of grains and dry ration present in the houses of Badhaal village.

The Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) department has also been tasked to replace the material with fresh stock. Officials informed that although investigation, both on medical grounds as well as policing front, is going on to ascertain 17 mysterious deaths in Badhaal village but suspicion regarding dry ration and grains kept stores in houses is there.

“Now, as a precautionary step, we have seized all kinds of dry ration and grains kept stored by the families in Badhaal village,” the officials stated.  They further informed that FCS&CA Department has issued necessary tickets to these families who will be provided fresh stock of ration from food store of department.

Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Dr Raj Kumar Thappa said that the decision is precautionary in nature and is on the basis of some suspicion over food grain, dry ration like flour and other eatables kept stored by these families in their houses.
