STEM innovation course concludes at GCW MA Road

Srinagar, Jun 5: The Department of Electronics at Government College for Women (GCW), M.A. Road, Srinagar, in collaboration with TechNurture Labs, concluded a hands-on Add-On Course in Applied Electronics with STEM-Based Product Innovation, aimed at fostering technical and creative skills among students.

The course provided practical training in Arduino programming, drone technology, robotics, and automation. Students gained insights into real-world applications of electronics through immersive sessions and collaborative project work. The course emphasised innovation and problem-solving, allowing participants to design and build working models.

At the valedictory ceremony, students presented their projects, which reflected their grasp of technology and creative thinking. The Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) YasmeenFarooq Khan, praised the students for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to pursue careers in electronics and innovation-driven fields. She underscored the significance of such programs in empowering young women with relevant, future-ready skills.

The course was coordinated by Dr. ParsaSarosh, Head of the Department of Electronics, and the sessions were led by Dr. Zaid Mohammad Shah from TechNurture Labs, whose mentorship was well-received by students and faculty alike.

The program concluded with students expressing confidence and interest in advancing their learning in electronics, automation, and STEM-related careers.
