Stem cell donor awareness programme organised
Ganderbal, Nov 7: Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW) and the Department of Biotechnology through Health Centre, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration with DATRI, Chennai organised one-day “blood stem cell donor awareness programme” on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Abid Hamid, Dean, School of Life Sciences, appreciated the efforts of the organisers and highlighted the need for volunteering as a stem cell donor. “For many patients, a transplant may be their only chance for survival, yet finding a compatible donor is often challenging due to genetic diversity.”
