Statehood restoration right of people: Tara Chand

Jammu, Mar 13: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today demanded early restoration of statehood for the people of J&K and said it is their right.

In a statement, he said the right was given to them by the Dogra rulers much more before independence.

“They were enjoying the special status with more benefits and concessions, leaving happy and prosperous life in a state enriched with blessings of Almighty. All of sudden, this status was snatched away from them converting the state to Union Territory, “he said.
