Srinagar, Oct 9: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday resolved to resume the chain hunger strike under the banner “Hamari Riyasat Hamra Haq” to reiterate the Party's demand for restoration of complete statehood to J&K.

The hunger strike had to be put on hold due to the natural calamity and subsequent loss to life and property in Chenab valley and elsewhere in Jammu as well as Kashmir region. The strike will start from October 18 for the remaining districts who could not observe the strike given the loss of life and property due to natural calamity.
