State Taxes Deptt records 73% revenue increase over last fiscal
Kathua, Dec 24: Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement Kathua, HQ Lakhanpur Ranjeet Singh conducted a detailed review of activities of the enforcement wing Kathua from April till December 23.
Assistant Commissioner Lakhanpur, STOs and other field staff of the enforcement wing attended the meeting.
The main highlight of the review is the remarkable realization of the Rs 3.16 crore penalty for GST defaulters.
Major commodities on which penalties were imposed during the period included cases without proper documents, marble/ granite, metal scrap, furniture products, tobacco products and other defaults.
The office of the Deputy Commissioner State Taxes registered an increase in revenue realisation of 73% as compared to the last fiscal year.
The whole exercise was carried out by the staff of Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement Lakhanpur under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement Lakhanpur, Ranjeet Singh under the overall supervision of Additional Commissioner State Taxes Namrata Dogra and Dr Rashmi Singh, Commissioner State Taxes Department.
