State-level Yuva Utsav: India@2047 Youth setting new development agenda: LG
Jammu, Dec 10: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Sunday said that the youth were setting a new development agenda.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that attending the closing ceremony of the state-level Yuva Utsav: India@2047 at Government M A M College here, the LG said that the creativity, charisma, and hard work of the youth was the formidable force that was setting new agenda of development.
“The new ideas and conviction is stimulating various sectors and contributing to discoveries and innovation,” he said.
Sinha said that the youth power was the greatest asset of the country.
“They dare to stand alone against all odds and challenges without any fear and are always ready to provide new ideas and new initiatives for the betterment of the society,” the LG said.
He emphasised the need to harness the vibrant energy of youth to achieve constructive goals.
“Youth is the most powerful tool to shape a better future and usher in socio-economic revolution,” Sinha said. “Initiative, leadership, self-confidence, persistence, imagination, and courage to learn from failure are rare qualities of youth, which influences the society and opens the door of new possibilities in developmental journey.”
He said that the future belongs to India and India’s youth.
“I am confident that the youth will lead the world to build a prosperous society,” the LG said.
He commended the endeavour to integrate five youth-centric programmes for this year’s Yuva Utsav inspired by Panch Pran of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sinha motivated the youth to rededicate themselves towards realising the vision of Viksit Bharat.
He congratulated and extended his best wishes to the winners under various categories including painting, poetry, declamation, photography, and culture.
On the occasion, the LG felicitated the winners and jury members of the Yuva Utsav.
The two-day event was organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.
Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan J&K and Ladakh, Nisar Ahmad presented a detailed report on the competitions held in connection with Yuva Utsav across J&K.
Member of Parliament, Gulam Ali Khatana; Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain; and DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shakti Pathak were also present on the occasion.
