Staff transfers every 2 to 3 years a must: Sakina Itoo

Kupwara, Jul 31: Health and Education Minister Sakina Itoo Thursday emphasized the importance of regular staff transfers, stating that no long-term postings would be allowed in government departments. She said that a reshuffle of employees was on cards to ensure greater efficiency and accountability among the employees.

"Transfers are important after every two to three years for better functioning of departments and public accountability. The process will also be carried out in the Health Department soon," she said.

The Minister was talking to media representatives after visiting Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, where she along with Minister for Roads and Buildings Javid Dar, had arrived to see the condition of persons injured in Wednesday’s tragic road accident at Behinpora Rajwar area of Handwara.
