SSP Traffic Police holds meet with field personnel at Poonch

Poonch, Dec 2: Senior Superintendent of Traffic Police, Jammu Rural, Vinay Kumar Saturday conducted a meeting of Traffic Police personnel at Dak Bungalow Poonch.

The meeting was conducted after the successful culmination of the visit of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Poonch.

Officials said that at the outset of the meeting, SSP Traffic appreciated all officers and officials of traffic for the smooth and hassle-free conduct of the LG’s visit to Poonch.
He also instructed the personnel at length about the concern of the Traffic Police in performing day-to-day duties.

He stressed maintaining discipline and the right code of conduct for traffic officials when on duty and also insisted that all officers and officials should wear proper and clean uniforms and remain polite with the people.

The SSP Traffic also briefed the challaning officers for quality challaning on overloading, overspeeding, triple riding, and riding without a helmet, particularly in hilly areas to avert any accident.
The officer also stressed taking strong action against those drivers of buses and minibuses who carry passengers more than the permissible seating capacity.

Among the officers, Deputy SP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch Nawaz Ahmed Chouhan, DTI Rajouri Iqbal Choudhary, DTI Poonch Showkat Amin, SO Surankote Younis Khan, SO Thanamandi Muhammad Arif, SO Poonch Muhammad Hamid,
SO Mendhar Riaz Mehra, and SO Mandi Vinay Kumar were present in the meeting.
