Jammu, Mar 3: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic City, Jammu, Amit Bhasin, on Tuesday warned against drunken driving, over-speeding and stunt biking on the occasion of Holi- the festival of colours- to be celebrated on March 4, 2026.

He asserted that strict action would be taken against the violation of traffic rules.

In a traffic advisory issued on the eve of Holi festival, SSP Traffic, Jammu (city) said, “Holi, which is a festival of colours and spreads brotherhood, harmony and happiness besides symbolising the victory of good over evil, will be celebrated on March 4, 2026 with great enthusiasm in Jammu city also.

Keeping in view the traffic scenario, Traffic Police Jammu advises the general public, especially, the motorists against wrong parking and violation of traffic norms.”

“No wrong parking or road side parking will be allowed anywhere for the celebration of the festival as it causes unnecessary jamming and congestion. Further, all the motorists are hereby warned that strict action will be taken against drunk-driving, over-speeding, stunt biking, reckless-dangerous driving or driving without crash helmets. Special focus will be given on stunt biking. Motorists are asked not to perform stunt biking which endangers their life as well as of other people,” Bhasin cautioned.

In addition, he also asked all the event organisers in the jurisdiction of Traffic City Jammu to ensure to follow traffic rules and regulations during the Holi events so that safe and hassle-free movement of traffic could be ensured during the celebration of the festival.
