SSP Kathua hands over 50 lost mobile phones to rightful owners
Jammu, Jun 13: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kathua, Shobhit Saxena Friday handed over 50 lost android mobile phones, including one Apple i-phone 14, worth Rs 9.32 lakh to their rightful owners.
Missing complaints for these lost mobiles were registered in various Police Stations of district Kathua.
These phones, according to the Police, were recovered by the dedicated professional team of IT Section DPO Kathua by using technical assistance from different areas of J&K UT; Punjab; Gujarat; Rajasthan; UP and Bangalore.
Following their recovery, SSP Kathua, accompanied by Additional SP Kathua Rahul Charak; DySP DAR Kathua Ritesh Samyal and other officers, handed over those mobile handsets to their rightful owners after proper verifications.
ìOn receiving their lost mobile phones, the owners felt elated and expressed their gratitude towards Police and especially to SSP Kathua for his arduous efforts in tracing out missing mobiles,î a police spokesperson said.
Till now, 320 missing mobiles, costing approximately Rs 47.32 lakh, have been recovered by Police.
