SSB Srinagar launches awareness programme on preventing single use plastic

Srinagar, Dec 7: SSB Srinagar here launched an awareness programme on preventing single use plastic.

“Swachhta Abhiyaan is a nationwide cleanliness campaign launched by the Government of India. Under the campaign, the Home Ministry is celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada from Dec 1 to Dec 15. The campaign focuses on promoting cleanliness, hygiene and proper waste management practices across the country. The cleanliness campaign encourages proper disposal of solid waste and adoption of clean habits,” a statement said.

In continuation of the campaign, today Rohitashwa, Commandant, 10th Bn SSB Srinagar, all the officers, subordinate officers and all the personnel of the unit launched an awareness campaign to avoid single use plastic and maintain cleanliness around and in society.

At the end, Rohitashva Commandant, 10 Bn gave the message to the society saying that this initiative has made significant progress in improving sanitation and raising awareness about the importance of cleanliness.
