Srinagar Police summon 3 individuals for questioning over sectarian content on social media

Srinagar, Sep 29: Srinagar Police on Sunday said it has summoned three individuals for questioned in connection with posting sectarian and inflammatory content on social media.

The police also said that appropriate legal proceedings have been taken up, and urged public to refrain from sharing or posting such material.

Taking to micro-blogging site X the Srinagar Police said: “Apropos to the posting of sectarian and inflammatory content on social media, 03 individuals have been summoned for questioning, and appropriate legal proceedings are underway”.

“The public is urged to refrain from sharing or posting such material, as exacting legal action would be enforced against violators,” the post added.
