Srinagar-Jammu highway remains open
Ramban, Feb 10: The Srinagar-Jammu NH remained open for two-way traffic of light medium and heavy vehicles on Monday.
However, traffic authorities said traffic movement remained slow due to ongoing four-lane construction works at different places between Nashri and Banihal.
Officials said traffic movement remained slow due to breakdown of few vehicles and due to four-lane construction work at Dalwass, Mehad-Cafeteria stretch and between Maroog and Kishtwari Pathar stretch between Nashri and Banihal sector of National Highway.
Traffic authorities monitoring the regulation in Ramban said that despite slow traffic movement hundreds of passenger light medium and heavy vehicles, oil and gas tankers plied towards their respective destinations in Srinagar and Jammu till late this evening.
They said that light medium and heavy motor vehicles are crossing the Nashri-Banihal stretch of the highway towards Kashmir and Jammu, respectively, although at a slow pace.
