Srinagar boat tragedy: Rescue operation to go on whole night, says DC Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 16:Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin ordered to continue the rescue operation whole night to enhance efforts in recovering the missing persons who drowned after a boat capsized in river Jhelum early morning today.

"We have decided to continue with the ongoing rescue operation as the water flow is too heavy which may possibly wash down the drowned persons if we somehow aren't able to trace them soon," Mohiuddin said as per news agency Kashmir Scroll.

"Every possible effort is being made to locate the drowned persons and we hope that we are able to find them sooner than later," he added.
