Srinagar, Sep 17: The Srinagar International Airport turned festive and welcoming on Wednesday as it celebrated ‘Yatri Seva Diwas’ with a host of vibrant, passenger-focused activities — from cultural folk dances and children’s competitions to wellness camps and a tree plantation drive, embodying the spirit of Kashmir’s traditional “mehmaan-nawazi” (hospitality).

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), passengers arriving were greeted with a sacred Tika ceremony, traditional folk dance performances, and heartfelt gestures from the airport staff, leaving many to describe the experience as “unforgettable.”
