Sports activities for Children of Palaash and Pareesha conclude in Kupwara

Kupwara, Dec 25: The sports activities conducted for the children of Palaash and Pareesha Child Care Institutions (CCIs) concluded today at Kupwara.

A statement said that the event, which was organised by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Mission Vatsalya featured indoor and outdoor games, including chess and carom, Yoga activities, Tug of War, Volley Ball, Badminton 100m Sprint, Long Jump, Discus & Shot Put. Children from both institutions participated enthusiastically, showcasing their skills and teamwork.

To encourage and motivate the participants, trophies, medals, and certificates were distributed among the children. The prizes were given away by DCPO Mr Hidaitullah Mir and the officials of DCPU,CWC and CCIs.

Speaking on the occasion, DCPO Hidaitullah Mir said "Providing these trophies, medals, and certificates to children encourages them to participate in such events and helps build their confidence and self-esteem. It also promotes a sense of healthy competition and teamwork among them."

The sports activities were part of the DCPU's efforts to promote the overall development and well-being of children in child care institutions. The event was widely appreciated by the children and staff members of both the institutions.
