SPO recruitment rumour misleads Rajouri youth

Rajouri, Feb 3: A rumour regarding the recruitment of Special Police Officers (SPOs) and the submission of offline applications has put the youth of Rajouri in a tight spot.

Locals said that the rumour spread a couple of days ago during which it came to the fore that J&K Police was entertaining offline applications for the post of SPO.

They said that soon after the rumour spread in the area, a large number of unemployed youth rushed towards police lines at Rajouri for submission of offline application forms.

However, the people were denied entry in Police Lines on the pretext that there is no such process for submission of offline forms.

“The information is baseless as no applications have been invited for the SPO recruitment as no such recruitment has been advertised,” said an official quoting Police sources appealing to youth not to fall prey to rumour mongers.
