Spiritual land J&K country’s main knowledge centre: LG
Jammu, Feb 16: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday said that the spiritual land Jammu and Kashmir was the main centre of knowledge in the country.
Interacting with people and extending his hearty greetings on the occasion of Surya Saptami, the LG while paying obeisance to lord Shri Martand at Shri Martand Surya Temple at Paloura in Jammu said, “Since time immemorial J&K has been known as the land of spirituality and one of the main centres of learning and knowledge in the country. It has always promoted inclusive cultural ecosystem and kept alive time-tested traditional wisdom.”
Participating in the Mahayagya organised by Shri Martand Tirath Trust, he prayed for the peace, progress, and prosperity of one and all.
LG Sinha interacted with the people and extended his hearty greetings on the occasion.
He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the vision of ‘Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi’ had been transformed into a people’s movement.
The LG called upon the people to rededicate themselves to promote social harmony and collectively work for the upliftment of the weaker sections of society.
Shri Martand Tirath Trust President A K Sidha, Chairman Avtar Krishan, General Secretary T K Tickoo, and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants) J&K, Arvind Karwani, were also present on the occasion.
