Hailing from Rajouri, Sudan met with a life-altering road accident nearly a decade ago, resulting in critical spinal injuries.

However, his unwavering spirit continues to inspire many, as he remains committed to social causes and national pride despite his physical condition.

Sudanís journey, undertaken in a specially modified vehicle equipped with hand-controlled brakes and accelerator, culminated in Rajouri on Sunday.

He was warmly welcomed by civil society members, members of Rotary Club Rajouri Grand, and representatives from various social organisations in a modest yet emotional flag-in ceremony.

Describing the journey as a tribute to the courage of Indian soldiers, Sudan said, ìThis yatra was my humble attempt to honour the sacrifices of our jawans and the success of ëOperation Sindoorí. Their bravery protects our nation and my journey was merely a symbolic salute.î

During the yatra, Sudan visited various pilgrimage and tourist destinations across J&K and Himachal Pradesh.

He also interacted with locals to spread awareness about the details and significance of ëOperation Sindoorí, along with the prevailing situation in border regions that have seen frequent ceasefire violations.

ìThis journey was also about connecting with people and reminding them of the resilience and determination our forces embody every single day,î Sudan said.

This is not Sudanís first inspiring endeavour.

Last year, he completed a solo drive from Rajouri to Leh via Srinagar and returned through Himachal Pradesh, setting a notable record for specially-abled individuals.

Terming him a beacon of courage and determination, participants in the welcome ceremony lauded Sudanís willpower and termed his yatra a source of motivation for society at large.
