Specially-abled girl student of GGHSS Khrew receives award

Srinagar, Jan 4: A student, Irtika Mehraj, of class 9th has brought laurels to Govt Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Khrew Pulwama by receiving a Divyang Ambassador award.

She was honoured with the award by the LG administration at the function held in Jammu University organised by J&K Social Welfare Department on 28 and 29 December.

An optimistic, brave and intelligent girl, Irtika Mehraj has never let her disability become her weakness. An author of three books, Irtika has been an inspiration to all. A felicitation ceremony was held in Govt Girls Hr sec school Khrew, Pulwama, yesterday to acknowledge and applaud its industrious student Irtika for her exemplary achievements.

Irtika Mehraj thanked the school for its constant support and expressed her gratitude to the Principal and teachers.

Principal Gh Muhiuddin congratulated her and said that he is proud to have nurtured such brilliant and talented students.

The Principal also congratulated the entire staff and urged them to provide a more conducive environment for the overall development of the students.
