Special Lok Adalat held in Uri

Srinagar, Aug 20: The Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Uri on Tuesday held a special Lok Adalat at Officers Club in Uri. It was held under the supervision of its chairperson TLSC Uri, Fozia Paul.

The bench was presided over by Sub-Judge Uri and SDM Uri was the member in the bench. In the special Lok Adalat, SDM Uri Javed Ahmad Rather along with other officers of Tehsil Uri including Executive Engineer R&B Uri, Executive Engineer PMGSY Uri, Executive Engineer PHE Uri, Tehsildar Uri, BDO Uri, and others were present on the occasion.

A total number of 50 cases were taken up for settlement, out of which 15 cases were settled on the spot. “The special Lok Adalat was mostly pertaining to civil matters related to compensation,” reads the statement issued by TLSC Uri.
