While raising a supplementary question about the establishment of a hotel management institute in Pahalgam, Wani began speaking in Kashmiri. However, the Speaker intervened, asking him to switch to Urdu, citing difficulties faced by reporters in understanding the language.

"Sir, when they can speak in Dogri," Wani responded, referring to Jammu-based MLAs, "why can't I?"

The Speaker, however, moved on to the next question.
