ADC Sopore has issued a call for action for all stakeholders.

“The educators must do a root-cause analysis to deconstruct complex issues hindering student success,” ADC Sopore said.

He said that the whole focus should not be on the completion of the syllabus alone.

“The sight of students returning to classrooms brings renewed hope, but this energy must be channelled through a lens of strategic improvement,” he said.

He stressed that the focus needs to pivot toward high-impact strategies, including fostering conceptual clarity, providing robust emotional and psychological support, and ensuring equitable access to quality resources.

“This approach is critical for students to navigate the pressures of competitive exams effectively,” he said.

As already reported by this newspaper, the Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) earlier issued an academic planner stating that 2026 will be a year of academic excellence.

ADC Sopore termed the students as “the future of society”, saying that students must embrace curiosity and discipline, applying their knowledge constructively.

“Teachers have been cast as the architects of tomorrow tasked with creating a warm, festive, and stress-free environment to bridge learning gaps and inspire ethical and innovative thinking among learners,” he said.

ADC Sopore urged parents for their cooperation, saying that education was a lifelong process extending beyond degree collection.

“Parents must remain actively involved in their children’s academic journey and to collaborate with school authorities to instil a strong sense of morality and the ability to discern right from wrong,” he said.

He said the goal is to transform Sopore into a hub of academic brilliance and holistic growth.

“A well-mannered, value-based education is the key to unlocking the future potential of the region’s youth,” he said.
