Solve problems of pensioners : JKCSF

Srinagar, Mar 20: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Abdul Qayoom Wani has expressed serious concern over the alleged negative attitude of government towards the pensioners.

In a statement Wani said that pensioners are badly suffering for want of early disbursement of their due pension benefits from September 2023 onwards in respect of leave salary and other things. “The leave salary and other benefits are lying with concerned treasuries. They have projected demands but higher authorities did not take any cognizance. The leave salary budget is expiring on end of March 2024,” he said.

Wani urged upon concerned authorities for disbursement the amount in favour of pensioners before financial year expired viz March 2024. He also expressed strong resentment against none payment of GP fund in favour of employees whose GP fund bills are licking the dust in the treasuries for the last more than eight months. Wani said employees are saving GP fund from their salary but not getting their own money in the time.
