Srinagar, Aug 27: The Society of Indian Radiographers (SIR), Kashmir Chapter, warmly welcomed Dr Jahangir Bakshi as the new Director of Health Kashmir.

Dr Bakshi’s appointment marks a significant milestone for the healthcare community in Kashmir, bringing with it a wealth of experience and visionary leadership, the SIR said.

The SIR Kashmir Chapter today met Dr Bakshi under the leadership of Rauf Laigroo, Vice-President of SIR and representative of Super Speciality Hospital.

The organisation expressed its strong support for Dr Bakshi.

"The SIR is confident that his leadership will bring about a positive transformation in the healthcare sector in Kashmir, particularly in addressing the needs and concerns of radiographers and X-ray technicians."

Joining Laigroo in welcoming Dr Bakshi were key figures of the SIR Kashmir Chapter, including Joint Secretary Javid Rasool Shawl (Govt Dental College), Executive Member Javid Sultan (DTC Srinagar), and Bilal Ahmad (JVC Hospital).

The broader membership, including Javid DTC Sopore, Javid Bhat SDH Pampore, Altaf Ahmad SDH Kangan, and Nazir Ahmad Ganai from Gousia Hospital Srinagar, also extended their congratulations and expressed their optimism for the future.

The SIR hoped that with Dr Bakshi at the helm, all the genuine grievances of radiographers and X-Ray Technicians across the region would be effectively addressed. "The SIR Kashmir Chapter is eager to collaborate closely with Dr Bakshi to enhance the professional environment and healthcare services in Kashmir."
