Snowfall disrupts power supply in Shopian

Srinagar, Feb 28: Snowfall has disrupted power supply in Shopian with the officials of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) remaining on job to restore the electricity.

In a post on KPDCL Shopian said, “Due to overnight snowfall, many of our feeders have tripped, causing disruptions in the power supply. Our team is actively working on restorations, and we appreciate your patience.”

Snow clearance operations are underway across the district with authorities also sharing on social media the work undertaken on Sedow Road by the MED Shopian.

The authorities have also informed that a winter Control Room has been set up at District level and people can reach out to them in case of help or grievances pertaining to the mitigation of adverse weather conditions.
